LIMA — Gladys Barker, 85, died at 11:25 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at her residence.
Gladys was born on Wednesday, June 22, 1932, in Kanawha County, West Virginia, to the late Hubert and Selma (Dickens) Green. On Thursday, January 28, 1954, she married Robert Barker who preceded her in death July 26, 1973.
She spent her time with family, traveling and long car rides. She loved when family got together. Fishing, cooking and shopping was something she enjoyed doing. The grandkids loved hearing Grandmas joke about the willow tree. Gladys was a big football fan cheering on the Browns. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor but was feisty.
She is survived by: daughter, Teresia McCluer, son, Charles Barker, daughter, Debbie Gilbert, and son, Gary (Jodi) Barker; grandchildren, Jeremy (Nicole) Barker, Amanda (Steven) Harmon, Josh Mort, Robert Barker, Brandi (Matt) Wilder, Amber Nickles and Lucas Barker; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; brother, Arvel (Betty) Green and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Barker -Gronas.
She was preceded in death by: sons, Robert Barker Jr., Jerry Wayne Barker; daughter-in-law, Deborah Barker; brothers, Charles, Millard and Willard Green and sisters, Emma Cottrell and Ethel Moore.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 04, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 05, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Rev. Arnold Wright will officiate.

My condolences goes out to the whole entire family. I am sorry for your loss. I have known Gladys for 40 years and her Grandson Josh loved her dearly. Debbie, Henry, Teresia and Gary I will be praying for you all. If you need anything don't hesitate to call. RIP Gladys you were a wonderful lady. <3
