LIMA — Glen C. Williams, 81, died at 9:06 a.m., Monday March 26, 2018, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio. He was born May 11, 1936, Lima, to George H. and Mary (Foust) Williams. They both preceded him in death.
On April 12, 1964, Glen married Loretta A. Nevergall, who survives.
He is survived by one son, Kevin (Diane) Williams; one daughter, Kimberly Williams; one grandson, Trent Williams; two granddaughters, Aiyana Gibson and Monica Williams; and three brothers, Gene (Nancy) Williams, Gale (Charlotte) Williams and Duane (Sharon) Williams.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Caroline Gibson; sister, Ruth D. (Robert) Repasz; and brother, James (Joyce) Williams.
Glen was a graduate of Vaughnsville High School, class of 1954. After high school, he served from 1955-1957 in the U. S. Army and continued his service for two years in the Army National Guard. Glen drove truck for former Scot Lad Foods/ Nash Finch from which he retired. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Lima, where he had served as a Trustee for many years and a member of the F.O.E. Aerie #370, Lima. Glen enjoyed watching the Browns and Indians and was a huge Ohio State fan.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Matthew Oliver will officiate with burial to follow in Vaughnsville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Columbus Grove American Legion/VFW Color Guard.
Friends may call from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church or Donor's Choice.
