ELIDA -- Glenn D. Fisher, age 77 of Elida, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at 9:36 p.m. at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born January 29, 1947, in Celina to Darrell D. and Frankie J. (Engle) Fisher who preceded him in death. On June 11, 1971, he married Linda K. Brown at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, who survives.
Survivors include their children: Lisa M. (Brian D.) Latham of Elida, Jennifer L. (Wesley S.) Lovett of Bluffton and Dr. Jeffrey R. (Kristin M.) Fisher of Delaware; thirteen grandchildren: Andrew (Fiancee' Lily Weber) Lovett, Megan Latham, Kenneth Lovett, Connor Latham, Carsyn Casebolt, Nicholas Lovett, Aidan Latham, Mason Latham, Caiden Casebolt, Benjamin Lovett, Logan Fisher, Joely Fisher and Samuel Lovett; his siblings: Dean R. (Wanda) Fisher of Paris, TN and Delilah (Jerry) Klosterman of St. Marys; nine nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel (Candace) Fisher.
After graduating from St. Marys Memorial High School in 1965 he received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Wright State University. His career started at Howard Beeler CPA firm. He owned Lima Flack Company/Bobcat and retired in December of 2007. Glenn was a member and past president of Lima Noon SERTOMA, earning Sertoman of the Year in 1986-87. He held membership in the BPOE #54, Knights of Columbus, Serra Club, Senior Citizens Services, and was involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church, serving on its Endowment Committee and Finance Council as president, and he also enjoyed being a greeter.
Glenn and Linda enjoyed traveling with friends throughout the United States and abroad. He was an avid fan of Ohio State football and a faithful attendee of their home games. He attended away games at nine out of ten original Big Ten stadiums as he was striving to visit them all. Glenn loved boating on Grand Lake St. Marys, spending time at their lake house with family and friends, and taking family vacations to Norris Lake. He had a fondness for cars, especially his Shelby Cobra. He enjoyed spending time at his "Clubhouse" in Gomer, imparting his mechanical knowledge and life lessons to his grandchildren. One of his greatest joys in life was attending their events and activities.
His Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024, at St. Charles Catholic Church, with Fr. Kent Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2024, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Parish or Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center at O.S.U.

My sincere condolences to Linda and the family. I worked for Glenn at Lima Flack for over 12 years and he was a kind, sweet, generous and caring person that to this day I consider a dear friend. Ed and I are so sorry for your loss.
