RIDGEWAY — Grace Leanne Thompson, 55, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Ohio Health Mansfield.
Leanne was born on May 21, 1965 in Lima, OH, a daughter of the late Jim Klaus and Sandra Shaw Klaus, who survives in Wapakoneta, OH.
On June 30, 1984, Leanne married Mike Thompson in Lima and he survives along with their children, Michelle (Dan) Phipps of Belle Center, OH, Krystal (Jason) Durkee of Spencerville, OH, and Mitchell (Amanda Clark) Thompson of Rushsylvania, OH, nine grandchildren, Anthony, Tyler, Jayden and Adalynn Phipps, Liam, Lillianne and Lane Durkee, and Conner and Caiden Thompson, six siblings, Becky (Dale) Dicus, Ron (Nan) Klaus, John (Kendra) Klaus, all of Wapakoneta, Tim (Julie) Klaus of Asheboro, NC, Dave (Kim) Klaus of Rochester, WA, and Susie (Scott) Lovejoy of Cridersville, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leanne was a 1983 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. She and Mike worked their family farm together. Leanne was an adviser for Waynesfield All Around Livestock 4-H club for 21 years. She enjoyed genealogy and gardening. Her greatest love was her family and being around her grandchildren and attending their activities.
David Holbrook will begin funeral services at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Visitation is Tuesday, April 27th from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial is in Fairmont Cemetery. Due to state Covid-19 pandemic guidelines, attendees are asked to be symptom free, maintain social distancing and wear a facial covering.
Memorial contributions may be given in her name to Auglaize County 4-H.
