Jane Wright Obituary
COLUMBUS GROVE -- L. Jane Wright, 98, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at her home. Jane was born in Columbus Grove, Ohio on January 16, 1925, to Opal and Alta (Miller) Stemen. She married C. Richard Wright on August 11, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1993.
Jane was employed for many years at Phillips Corporation in Ottawa, Ohio. She also drove a school bus for the Columbus Grove local school. She was a member of the Cairo Christian Church as well as a Sunday School teacher, choir director, and organist. She was also part of the Tunedusters BBS Chorus.
Jane is survived by a son, James (Dianne) Wright of Columbus Grove, Ohio, three daughters, Martha (Steve) Beam of Columbus Grove, Ohio, Donna (Pat) Watkins of Greenbrier, Tennessee, and Pamela (DeWayne) Utrup of Columbus Grove, Ohio, and sister-in-law Thelma Brouse. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Jessica (Mike Greco) Wright, Denny (Jeanette) Chamberlin, Brian (Gina) Chamberlin, Mike (Jen) Chamberlin, Nicole (Ross) Williams, John (Jamie) Chamberlin, Mark Beam, Michelle (Chad) Ricker, Colin (Cherise) Lukehart, Joanna Watkins, Trevor Utrup, Tony (Erin) Utrup, Tiffany (Brock) Verhoff, twenty-four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Douglas Beam, and Jeremy Watkins, two brothers, Clyde Stemen, and Robert Stemen, and two sisters, Louise Smith, and Betty Williams.
Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A celebration of life service will be on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Cairo Christian Church at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Charles Hirschy. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery.
