JANICE CARTER
CONVOY — Janice Mae Carter, 86, of Convoy, died at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
She was born July 1, 1931, in Fort Wayne Indiana to Margaret (Lee) Miesen and Peter Miesen.
Carter married Dorsey L. "Bud" Carter Dec. 18, 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW post 5803 Auxilliary.
Carter is survived by; daughters: Karen Baxter of Convoy, OH; Pam (Don) Eversole of Middle Point, OH; Debbie (Dennis) Gilbert of Hudsonville, MI; sons: Richard "Butch" (Rita) Carter; Mark Carter, all of Van Wert, OH; grandchildren, Dan Baxter, Terry Eversole, Amy (Jeff) Friemoth, Leslie (Brandon) Glossett, Kalah (Jason) Lee, Julia (Seth) Hamming, Andrew (Kalee) Gilbert, Trisha Carter, Chad (Amber) Carter, Tyson (Bridget) Carter, Chaise Carter, Jessica Houser, Mike (Amanda) Boroff, Darcie (Ben) Price, Anthony Carter; great-grandchildren, Ted and Nicole Eversole; Aubrey and Jayna Friemoth; Madyson and Grant Glossett; Taylor Hamming; Nicholas, Jared and Brock Stegamann; Payton, Taylor and Holden Carter, Gracie, Carter and Case Price; Jase Baxter; Kobe, Kendall and Cam Carter.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, four brothers, three sisters and granddaughter Kelly Baxter.
The funeral service will be private. Visitation will be at 3-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at Gearhart & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy. Burial will be at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Memorials should be sent to the Convoy Fire Department.
