LIMA — Janice A. Morgan, 90, died at her home in Lima, February 8, 2018, at 8:00 a.m.
She was born June 1, 1927, in Alger, to Helen and Noble Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Dana (Paul) Lee; Bonnie (Jim) Webben; one brother, Noble Jr. (Dorothy) Hopkins.
She is survived by her husband, George, of seventy-one years. Her three children: David (Debra) Morgan of Findlay; Jeffrey (Connie) Morgan of Vienna, VA; and Susan (Bruce) Thompson of Fletcher, NC. Her four grandchildren: Melanie (Jason) Martin of Hilliard; Mandy (Dustin) Lewis of Mount Joy, PA; Lucas Morgan of Morristown, NJ., and Jesse (Stephanie) Morgan of Herndon, VA; five great-grandchildren: Dakota, Jade, Brynn, Brandt and Diezel. Janice worked at Citizens Bank in Lima. She retired from Lima City Schools where she worked in the cafeteria. Then, volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital and she worked the voting polls on Election Day. One of her greatest joys was to entertain her family and many friends at her home. Visitation will be Monday, February 12th, at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00, with a service following at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. There will be a private burial at Preston Cemetery, Alger, OH. Pastor Terri Haithcock will officiate.
