Joanne Crumrine

LIMA -- Joanne Crumrine age 96, of Lima passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born December 24, 1928 in Allen County to the late Samuel P. and Dorothy Grace (Sellers) Lowry.

She married Richard Eugene Crumrine January 29, 1948 and he preceded her in death September 29, 2025.

Survivors include son: Phillip E. (Connie) Crumrine of Lima; daughters: Jackie K. (Doug Tungate) Litsey of Jupiter, FL and Jennifer J. (Brice McBride) Crumrine of Elida; 3 grandsons: Joseph (Rachel Hern) Gearing, Christopher (Janelle) Gearing and Chad R. (Katy) Crumrine; 2 granddaughters: Shannon D. Crumrine, Erica (Rick) Rostorfer; 4 great grandsons: Gage A. Crumrine, Landon Prince, Gavin Gearing and Jack Gearing; 5 great granddaughters: Trinity (Jacob Miller) Gearing, Kaitlyn Gearing, Hannah Prince, Mia Prince and Gracelyn Crumrine, and 2 great great granddaughters Penelope Crumrine and Veridian Crumrine; a sister Phyllis Brown of Elida and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings Lois Tully, Francis Lowry, Dorothy Lowry, Carol Lee, Loren Lowry, Dick Lowry, a son Richard Dale Crumrine and a grandson Aaron Crumrine.

She volunteered for 28 years for the American Red Cross in Lima, Ohio.

She was a homemaker, a wife, mother, and grandmother. She always said not to worry about the small things in life. She showed this family how to save for your later years, how to cook wonderful meals, make homemade noodles and still have a glass of wine at the end of the day. She made this family what it is, and she was the bond that showed us all how to take care of one another.

We were able to keep her home per her wishes with all the loving support of family with meals, mowing, cleaning and care taking. It was a task, but well worth the feeling of love we all share.

The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 1 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will follow with Chaplain Glory Geib officiating and burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
