JONATHAN ANDREWS
LIMA — Jonathan Scot "Coo" Andrews, 17, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015.
Jonathan was born November 4, 1997 in Lima, to Scot Michael and Julie (Greene) Andrews who survive in Lima.
Jonathan was a senior at Shawnee High School. He was a gifted student and athlete whose many accomplishments include being a member of National Honor Society, co-captain of the Shawnee High School Soccer Team, and a state qualifier in swimming. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent many summers chasing bucket mouth Walleye with his grandpa, Pokey. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend, who cherished the relationships he shared with others, especially his relationship with his brother and sister.
Jonathan was blessed with a loving family, brother, Stephen Paul Andrews of Lima, sister, Sarah Beth Andrews of Lima; grandfather, Paul Greene of Lima, grandfather, JP and Maryann Andrews of Wapakoneta and several aunts and uncles, Janet (Tim) Moore of Lima, Kris (Gary) Higbie of Lima, Diane (Charlie) Knotts of Russells Point, Mike, who preceded him in death and Phyllis Andrews of North Muskegon, MI, Tim (Mary) Andrews of Lima, Ellen (Everett) Bush of Perrysburg, Jan (Mark) Davis of Worthington, Sandy (Vince) Taylor of Dallas, TX, Tim (Sharon) Greene of Acworth, GA, Beth Rapp of Denver, CO, Marie (Tim) Beck of Westerville, Amy Greene, who preceded him in death; many cousins and his beloved Westies, Mickey, Grizzly, and Deuce.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy "Dot" Greene and Joanne E. Andrews.
Services celebrating Jonathan's life will begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Shawnee United Methodist Church, 2600 Zurmehly Road, Lima, Ohio 45806. Pastor Bryan Bucher will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at Shawnee United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

As a mother of a 17 yr old soccer player and captain of the Napoleon soccer team, I cannot even imagine the pain you are going through. My son, Logan only knew Jon on the field but had great respect for him. Please let us know if there is anything the Napoleon team or families can do to help support you through this. Jon opened up to me when we stayed in Troy together, I am so sorry for your loss and my heart and prayers go out to you. Jon was very good at making people smile when they were in dark places, He was a great person & an amazing friend, anyone who has crossed paths with him is truly blessed to know someone as compassionate as Jon.
