SPENCERVILLE — Karen Ann Burnett, 79, of Cincinnati and formerly of Spencerville, passed away peacefully at the Meadowbrook Care Center in Montgomery, Ohio at 4:45 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018.
She was born February 23, 1939 in Forest, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carl Richard and Jesselyn Janell Hays White. On January 4, 1957 she married Robert William "Bob" Burnett, who died December 30, 1995.
Surviving are her four daughters; Michele (Lee) Croxton of Dumfries, VA; Lisa (Terry) Eggleston of Brandenburg, KY; Susan Burnett of Ft. Myers, FL; and Roberta (Oliver) Bewsey of Sanibel, FL; four grandchildren; Adrianne, Corwin, Robert and Sara; 8 great grandchildren; Kailey, Keaton, Travis, Ethan, Ryker, Joslyn, Alexis and Connor; and three siblings; Lyle White of Cincinnati; Amy Martin of Kingwood, TX; and Carlene Lhamon of Wapakoneta. She was preceded in death by her grandson Sean and brother Kirk White.
Karen was a graduate of Spencerville High School. She was a homemaker and later retired from Sears as a jewelry associate.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday in the Thomas E Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Rev. David W. Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery near Converse.
The family will receive friends after 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to [email protected] and memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
