Having seen some pictures lately, my heart and face smiled, I have such a good feeling with the memories of Kat, and am so thankful I had time with her during my life.

Just found out about your Mom.......speaking to David and Kirstin. Never met you but your Mom, Kathy, was one of my best friends in Valdez childhood. When she stayed over my Mom would have one of her best days because Kathy loved her Sourdough Pancakes so much. I would just have to wait around while Kathy had all the pancakes she wanted. We liked to climb the highest snow mountains and tumble down. Beautiful Snow and Beautiful Friend.

I will certainly miss Kat and our visits. Even though it was usually just at the Fairbanks show or on FB I looked forward to our visits and talks, she always had a good dog story. We were fortunate to give a home to one of Kats corgi's "Buddy" it was the start of a long friendship.

Kathy is and always will be a part of me, living on in my heart and my memories. I learned so much from her and I hope to continue to learn to treat people the way that she did. She always took time for her friends and made the person in her presence feel important. I will always remember her big smile, her warm hugs, and the way she claimed me and my boys as family. Having her in your life was like having your own personal cheerleader. She was truly happy for the good things in your life and always listened and encouraged through the bad - never judging. My kids are probably here and who they are because of her and Floyd's hospitality which allowed me to stay in Alaska. The eyebrows I see when I look in the mirror are the shape they are because she taught me to pluck them this way. She taught me how to make jumbalaya and corned beef and how to eat artichokes and use hydrogen peroxide. I was lucky enough to enjoy long talks and many meals with her in some of my most impressionable years, and to have some of her written words to hold onto moving forward. She was an inspiring example of how to live the end of your life well. She handled her diagnosis with grace and humor and candor and remained the same person and friend she had always been. She was truly an amazing woman and I will feel the magnitude of this loss for all of my days. My thoughts and prayers go out to those closest to her, especially to Floyd, David, Kirstin, and Sharon. I love you all.

Kathy and I shared a love for Irish Setters. Though we were only Facebook friends it was so apparent how much she was loved by so many. My heart goes out to all the family and friends who will miss her so. I will too.

I so enjoyed being in the group ring with Kat and her Corgie and me with a Sheltie. She made showing fun. While we will miss her here, she's clearly with her furry family across the Rainbrow Bridge. My thoughts go out to her family and friends.

Kat, Sharon and I shared many an agility run-thru class together. You could always hear her and Sharon laughing and talking. I didn't know Kat very well, but it was evident how much she loved her dogs and spending time with Sharon. She was a fixture at Alyeska Canine Trainers and her presence will be missed. My thoughts are with Sharon and Kat's family during this difficult time.

Kathy was an incredible person and friend. Just the mention of her name brought a smile and a whirlwind of great memories. Kathy had a smile and a laugh that was infectious when a friend needed it most. She was also there for anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to bend.
We first were introduced to her in September of 2006, right after we lost Bear. We were working with Save Our Setters to find an Irish. She gave us all kinds of tips, and suggestions. She helped us in deciding our Rufus was the one to adopt.
from that point on we kept in touch with her. Nine months later, we were on the hunt for a little girl. Kathy Contacted Glenn, and we Adopted Millie.
Well Kathy, I know everyone you've met will never forget you, and will always be missed. Till we meet again Kathy, Please let Boof, Moo, and Bear hang out with your pack till we get there.

I met Kat at the National in Tucson, but felt like I've known her for several years through Sharon. Sharon talked about Kat all the time and, when I finally met her, it was as if we were friends for a long time. We spoke on FB about our dogs and her illness and I got to know her even better. Kat was a wonderful person and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Floyd, the family, Sharon, Tammy and all her close friends. My heart is breaking, but I know that Kat is at peace at the Rainbow Bridge with all her wonderful pets that were waiting for her to join them.

Kat was so generous and caring, and welcomed me as a newbie at dog shows last summer. I am grateful that I got to meet Kat and Floyd and some of the Wales Tails and Irish Tails crew. I only wish I could have known her better. Peace.

Taken away from us way too soon, I will surely miss that smile and laugh. Kat was always such a happy person who took time to enjoy people and forming lasting friendships. She was a fantastic dog trainer who loved her puppy classes. I am going to miss seeing her with the Cardi gals at ringside. Prayers to her family and close friends during this difficult time. We lost a treasure.

I don't remember exactly when I first met Kat - some CWCCA National years ago. She stayed in-touch thru emails and later thru Facebook. I have always marveled how our dogs brought many of us together, even if just electronically over thousands of miles and through many years. Kat always answered, always replied, and it was ALWAYS great to just share even a HI. Such a special lady who touched everybody she met. My love and prayers go out to her beautiful family and amazing friends . . . RIP Kat and fly with the angels and your doggies.

The most enjoyable CWCCA Banquet dinner ever was when we shared the table with Kat and Floyd in Tucson in 2013. We will miss Kat. We were blessed that she touched our lives.

Gone much too soon. I met Kat in Tucson at the Cardi National last year, and shared a banquet table with Floyd and Kat. She and I were FB friends as well. Somehow you don't think of losing people; then, when they're gone, you realize you should have made more of an effort to know them better. I'm so sorry the family has lost such a wonderful woman, and hugs to Sharon and Tammy.

So sorry to learn of Kat's passing. I'm very thankful to have met her in person at Nationals in AZ, and spend time getting to know her better. We will all miss her sweet smile and passion she had for our "short dogs." I picture her at the bridge, surrounded by all the 4 legged fur friends she loved so deeply. RIP our dear friend. My thoughts & prayers go out to her friends & family. Godspeed.

My heart is heavy with the loss of a wonderful lady and dear friend. Thirty-four years ago, Floyd and Kat took two young newlyweds under their wing and made them a part of their extended family. The memories of good times together grew from the get together's around the living room pool table, barbeques, golf games and all the dog shows together. When Kat, Susan and Sharon got together you never knew what mischief was about to happen. Floyd, thank you for sharing your wonderful companion with us for all these years. I wish I could have made it back to share in your celebration of Kat's life. Please know that you are and always will remain my friend.

I met her only once. At a dog show in Elma last year. Her dog went Best of Breed. She introduced herself to me as Kathy. What I remember most was how gracious, humble and genuine she was. Well that and how wonderful it was her husband accommodated her hitting all the little dog shows on their trip. I wish I could have had more opportunities to know her better.

Kat and Sharon made the best six pound Lasanua,I can still taste more than 20 years latter. She touched the lives of many and we are all blessed to have known such a kind soul.
