LIMA -- Kylie Kristina Jenkins, 45, of Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 10:56 a.m. on January 12, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on April 19, 1979, in Saint Marys, Ohio, Kylie was the cherished daughter of Carla Lindemuth and James "Jim" Houts.
Kylie's life was deeply shaped by both love and loss. Losing her mother to cancer at a young age instilled in her a remarkable resilience and boundless compassion for others. A breast cancer survivor herself, Kylie faced life's challenges with unwavering strength, inspiring everyone around her with her courage and an infectious zest for life.
A proud graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio, Kylie earned an associates in Marketing and a Bachelors in Business Administration. With a sharp mind and a creative spirit, she brought warmth, laughter, and love to everything she touched. Kylie's kind heart and radiant smile left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kylie is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Christopher Jenkins; their precious children, Christopher Carlin Jenkins and Karlayna Kelis Jenkins; her sister, Tara Houts; nieces, Taliya Edwards and Shanice Godsey; nephew, Taysean McDonald; best friend, Danielle Luchini and cousin; Jamie (Marcus) Conner. She also leaves behind her stepfather, Randy Lindemuth and her stepsisters: Courtney Eberly, Danielle Whyte, Nicole Elliot, and Angie Overly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Carla Lindemuth and James "Jim" Houts.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to help with funeral expenses. Donations can be directed to Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
Kylie's memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration, reminding us to face life with courage, love deeply, and treasure every moment.
