SIDNEY -- Leona (Charlotte) Saunders, 93, passed away at 3:12 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Wilson Health in Sidney.
Charlotte was born on April 13, 1930, in Lima, Ohio, to William Henry and Inez Irene (Roberts) Meyer.
Charlotte was employed at ARA Food Services with Ford Motor Company for many years prior to retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, going out to dinner and celebrating birthdays and holidays. She loved her many dogs over the years and her current best furry friend Samantha (Sammy) the Shih-Tzu She also enjoyed listening to her favorite crooners Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble.
She is survived by four children: Greg Sterling (Debbie) of Columbus, OH, Tamara Landes of Sidney, OH, David Landes of Sidney, OH , and Tom Landes of Rockford, OH; Grandchildren: Kayla Bratager, Jamie Stevens (Zach), Misty Grear, Kelly Grear and Natalye Seffernick; niece Jacque Switzer, great-grandchildren: Jake (Kellie), Kennedy, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Philip, Dalton, Matthew and Destiny and numerous great-great-grandchildren; and family friend, Steve Ordan.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Henry and Inez Irene (Roberts) Meyer, step-father Gene Mager, her daughter Diana Sterling; brother Harvey Roberts; sister Wilhelmine Switzer; nephew Steve Switzer and dear friend Albert Saunders.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service-family discussion time will start at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

I love you Aunt Charlotte. I am so sorry you passed but am glad you are with my Mom, your Sister Willie and hope you get-together and smile about the good times. I love you dearly Auntie.
