LEROY LIMBERT
WAPAKONETA — Leroy W. Limbert, 82, died at 9:00 a.m. Thursday November 26, 2015 at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
He was born on March 23, 1933 in Wapakoneta to Hugo & Henrietta (Gerstner) Limbert who preceded him in death. On October 30, 1954 he married Ilene M. Bollenbacher who passed away on October 11, 2012.
Leroy was a 1951 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1956 during the Korean War. After being discharged he took over the family farm. He worked as a sales hand at Producers Livestock and as a bus driver and custodian with the Wapakoneta City Schools for almost 30 years. He was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg, where he was a CCD teacher and sang in the choir. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the American Legion Post 330. He was very active within the church where he used his many skills completing maintenance work as needed.
Survivors include 4 children; Therese (Ron) Fahncke of Wapakoneta, Bill (Carla) Limbert of Fryburg, Tom (Denise) Limbert, Ann Limbert both of Wapakoneta, 6 grandsons, Adam (Anne Klopfenstein) Fahncke, Seth Fahncke, Eric Limbert, Donavin (Amy) Geiger, Jesse Limbert, Tyler Limbert and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Limbert.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday November 30, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg. Rev. Daniel Hunt will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John Catholic Church or to Auglaize Acres.

I was just going through the WDN web site and saw that LeRoy had passed on. I was in no doubt shocked. My condolences to the Limbert family whom I have known since I was a child living the next farm over from them. Wished I had been able to keep communicating with them.
