LOUIS "LOUIE" CONNER
DELPHOS — Louis J. "Louie" Conner, 78, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Hamilton Medical Center in Georgia.
He was born April 17, 1938, in Lima to Milo and Edna (Buttler) Conner. Both preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Charles Conner of Georgia, Gregory Conner of Ottoville, and Terry (Rebecca) Conner of Elizabethtown, KY; two daughters, Connie (Bruce) Banks of Chatsworth, GA and Shelia Conner of St. Paul, MN; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tara Conner.
He was a member of the VFW Aux. #3035, Eagles #471, and he had retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service in maintenance. He enjoyed sports, especially going to Red's baseball games, where he made it to game three of the 1975 World Series with Boston. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling, but most of all he enjoyed his family and friends, and visiting with people from his stool at the VFW. He was a graduate of Lima Senior high school in 1956
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 3, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Pastor David Howell will officiate. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family
