LUCIA GUIDERA
LIMA — Lucia A. Guidera, 47, of Lima, passed away at 12:06 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Lucia was born on April 11, 1967 in Lima, OH to George (Deceased) and Mary (Ring) Guidera who survives in Lima.
She was a 1985 graduate of Lima Central Catholic and also graduated from Lima Technical College. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Lucia was a transplant recipient and an active supporter of the "Donate Life" program. She loved her entire family especially her nieces and nephews. Lucia loved life and survived many obstacles but still remained positive.
Surviving are her brothers, Joseph Guidera of Lima, OH, Stan Guidera of Perrysburg, OH, William (Denise) Guidera of Abilene, TX, Brian Guidera of Virginia Beach, VA and Paul (Julie) Guidera of Lima, OH; her sister, Rita (Tom) Burger of Lima, OH; ten nieces and nephews, Tony, Angela, Carmen, Nick, Nich, Sevin, Heather, Michael, Catherine and Claire; five great nieces and nephews; three aunts, Jane, Angie and Rose.
She was preceded in death by four aunts, Mary, Frances, Ann and Frances; two uncles, Leonard and Charles.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL where a parish wake service will be held at 8:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Stephen Blum officiating.
Entombment will be at Gethsemani Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life.

To the Guidera family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Lucia. I remember my childhood friend fondly, she was such a sweet person. The memories I have of us swinging, shucking corn on her front porch, making mud pies, and our "tomboy club" with Rita will stay with me forever. My sincerest sympathies to you all.
