DELPHOS -- Marjorie Jean (Nighswander) Kemp of Delphos passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 89.
Margie was born at home on Feb. 8, 1936 in Continental, Ohio to the late Paul and Clara (Beckman) Nighswander. She completed 10th grade at Continental Palmer Rural School in 1951 and then married Jack Prine. They had 5 children, Micky, Jack, Mary, Randy and Chad. Margie later would marry Don Carnes and then Carol Kemp, both deceased.
She is preceded in death by husband Jack Prine of Delphos, husband Donald Carnes of Spencerville, and husband Carol Kemp of Van Wert, son Micky Prine of Spencerville who passed of cancer in 2010 and Grandsons Mike Prine who passed away in 2021 and Caden Meyer who passed in 2022. Margie also had two brothers, Edward & Larry Nighswander and one sister, Dorthy Wiesehan who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter Mary (Jim) Roof of Middle point, three sons, Randy (Pat) of Spencerville, Chad (Jennifer) of Spencerville, Jack of Vandalia and her Daughter in law Jeannine Prine of New Bremen . One sister, Donna Ball of Venedocia, three brothers, Robert Nighswander of Antwerp, Albert Nighswander of Leipsic, and Donald Nighswander of Brockville, Pa., along with one sister-in-law, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A Private family life celebration will be held at a later date.

I worked with her years ago, met her pet raccoon. She was a beautiful soul. Caring, hard working, funny, and joy to know. Sympathy to family and friends
