MARK MOORE
LIMA — LCpl Mark E. Moore,64, passed away at 9:34 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2015, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
Mark was born January 10, 1951 in Marion, to Kenneth Dean and Ellen (Saunders) Moore who preceded him in death. He had been married to Deborah Burden who preceded him in death. He had also been married to Wanda Navarro Webb who survives in Blacksburg, VA.
LCpl Moore was a Marine Corps veteran serving from 1969-1975. On June 23, 1970 he was wounded while serving in Viet Nam. He retired after 26 years of service with the Ohio Military Reserve #148. Mark has received multiple awards and medals through his service to our country. His memberships includes American Legion Post # 96, VFW Post #1275, where he was a life member, past commander of AMVETS #1, Disabled American Vet, the Marine Corps League # 1063, where he was past commandant and the Purple Heart Association. For 36 years he was involved with the Allen County Veterans Council where he was a past president.
Mark is survived by 5 children, Mark A. (Jennifer) Moore of Lima, Adena (Aaron) Poling of Lima, Joseph M. (Elizabeth) Moore of Blacksburg, VA,William D. (Darla) Moore and, Kyle S. Moore, both of Sumter, SC; 14 Grandchildren; 3 brothers, Eddy Moore of Tiffin, Randy (Terri) Moore of Maumee, Kerry (Kathy) Moore of Fostoria, and a sister, Sherry Moore of Fostoria,
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Moore.
Services will be 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Chaplain Dick Coon officiating. Military honors will follow at the funeral home conducted by V. F.W. Post #1275 and Marine Corps League # 1063. Entombment of his cremated remains will be at a later date in a National Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen County Food Pantry or Angles for Veterans.
