LIMA -- Marlin James Lloyd, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Marlin was born on August 25, 1943, in Toledo, OH, to Chester H. and Frances (Ciuba) Lloyd who preceded him in death. On August 27, 1967, he married the love of his life, Nesta (Sorgen) Lloyd, who survives him in Huron, OH.
Marlin spent most of his career working for CVS (previously Revco) in Sandusky, Fremont, and other locations, mainly in Northeast Ohio. He loved his career as a community pharmacist, and he appreciated being able to talk to his customers every day. In his free time, he enjoyed ham radio, watching the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Guardians, and stamp collecting. Most of all, he loved his family. Marlin will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Stan (Nicole) Lloyd of Cincinnati, OH, and Wes Lloyd of Tacoma, WA, his grandson, Dominic Lloyd, his granddaughter, Catherine Lloyd, and his brother, LeRoy (Rachel) Lloyd of Bowling Green, OH.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home - Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Lori Wright to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home - Shawnee Chapel.
Memorial contributions in honor of Marlin may be made to The Cancer Research Institute: 29 Broadway, Floor 4 New York, NY 10006-3111 or to the donor's choice.
