COLUMBUS GROVE -- Mary Ann Stechschulte, 92, of Columbus Grove, went peacefully surrounded by her family, to meet her heavenly Father on February 8, 2026, at Willow Ridge, Betty House, Bluffton, Ohio. She was born on May 30, 1933, at home in Ottoville, to the late Sylvester and Philomena (Mueller) Brinkman. On May 13, 1953, she married James J. Stechschulte who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Cheryl) Stechschulte, Coldwater, MI, Tim (Ruth) Stechschulte, Bowling Green, OH, Ann (Will) Mumaugh, Bluffton, OH and Beth (Phil) Mason, Columbus Grove, OH; sisters-in-laws, Mary Lou Brinkman, Glandorf, OH and Nettie Stechschulte, Findlay, OH and brother, Ralph (Sparky) Brinkman, Ottoville, OH. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Brinkman and sister, Irene Schroeder. Mary Ann was a devoted Grandma, Great Grandma and Great-Great Grandma, who will be forever cherished.
Mary Ann's favorite jobs were being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church, Columbus Grove American Legion Post 516 Auxiliary and Women's Aglow, Lima. She participated in many small prayer groups through the years. She was a prayer warrior and loved Jesus with all her heart. Her wish was that everyone knew Jesus like she did.
Mary Ann's family wishes to express thankfulness and gratitude to all her friends and family who continued to visit her and brightened her days, to Maple Crests entire staff for the excellent care and memories over the past 2 ½ years and to Willow Ridge, Betty House. The staff there were caring and considerate of Mary Ann's needs along with her family's needs. They would also like to thank Palliative Care nurse Brooke and Putnam County Homecare & Hospice for their care and support. She was blessed to have Pastor Geoff, Pastor Trent and Chaplin Lyn in her life.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove with visitation one hour prior (10:00 am – 11:00 am). Pastor Geoff Eubank officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Visitation is 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home.
Preferred Memorials may be made to the Putnam County Homecare & Hospice https://pchh.net/ and/or CG Christian Church.

I first met Mary at women´s aglow back in the 90´s then life brought us back together at Maple Crest It was easy to see Mary´s heart that was true and genuine for Jesus and her family! She will be missed
