MARY SUNDERLAND
LIMA — Mary Lou Sunderland, 79, died at 11:25 AM on Thursday, October 08, 2015, at her residence.
Mary was born on Tuesday, September 22, 1936, in Lima, to the late Clarence and Mary (Kayzer) DeVore. On Saturday, February 27, 1954, in at St. Gerard's Catholic Church, she married Vernon Gale Sunderland who preceded her in death on May 20, 2014.
Mary Lou attended Lima Baptist Temple. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by: a daughter, Lynda Burkholder; a daughter-in-law, Julie Sunderland; grandchildren, Kevin J. Kuhn, Amy Sunderland, Angela Sunderland, Brian Sunderland, Amanda Sunderland, Abigail Sunderland; a sister, Rose Weber and a friend Diane Nutt.
She is preceded in death by: son, Tommy Sunderland; brothers, Bob DeVore, Leroy DeVore, Clarence DeVore, Jr. and brother-in-law, Glen Weber.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima Ohio. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
