Michael Bloomfield Obituary

MICHAEL BLOOMFIELD

LIMA — Michael L. Bloomfield, 67 of Lima passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born on November 30, 1949 in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late Linus and Virginia (Lau) Bloomfield. Michael married Katherine Holliday and she preceded him in death in 2001.

On May 15, 2004 he married Linda Hovest and she survives along with his four children; Missy Kroeger of Findlay, Matt Bloomfield of Jacksonville, NC, Mark (Shari) Bloomfield of Richmond, VA and Mick (Lacey) Bloomfield of Findlay. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Marissa, Miranda, Nick, Gavyn, Chase, Ella, Jordynn, Jackson, Zayden and Kensington, two brothers; Patrick (Marilyn) Bloomfield of Defiance, Jim (Teresa) Bloomfield of Lima and his uncle, Robert Lau of Findlay.

Michael was preceded in death by his sister Sandy Bloomfield.

He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Lima and the Knights of Columbus in both Findlay and Lima. He enjoyed golfing and the outdoors but most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown with Rev. Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing, he truly was a great individual, as a fellow classmate I remember he didn't worry who you were or weren't he would always have a smile and a kind word. May he rest in pease and be with His love ones in heaven.
