Eight years have passed since Mike went to his eternal home, and not a day has passed that we have not had fond memories of him.
Re-reading all of these dear messages of condolence is amazing and heart warming. Thank you, every one of you.
Mike´s legacy is strongly evidenced in our children and grandchildren, as well as many students and players. We are ever so grateful for all the time we had with him.

My wife Bev and I have known Mike and Kay's family ( as well as Kay's sister's family-the Hamiltons) since the mid 60's. All three families were involved with athletics, and achieved a high degree of success. A most vivid conversation I had with Mike occurred at the hospital about two days after he had suffered a sever leg injury in a motorcycle accident. This would have been in the early '70's----we were still young. Laying in the hospital bed, Mike looked me straight in the eye and said "This is not the end of my coaching career. I've trained to be a coach, and I've worked to be a coach---you'll see me on the court coaching again!" Mike fulfilled that pledge for 32 years!!

Just heard of the passing of Coach Heck during my last phone call from my mother. I was saddened, but have been thinking of the positive influence he had in Rossford through the years. I became more connected to the Heck family as Coach Hamilton was my track coach at The Citadel. Praying for the family! May God bless in the days to come.

Kay and family,
We are very saddened by the news of Coach passing on, but we know that he is surrounded by love and greatness. I've taken the many lessons that Coach taught me and continue to try and pass them on to my players and students. He loved every one of his "boys", and we knew it. God Bless Coach!
