LIMA -- Nettie R. Hullinger, age 71, was called into the presence of the Lord at 9:43 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at home with her family by her side.
Nettie was born July 25, 1953, in Lima, OH, to the late Frances "Frank" and Ethel (Coppler) Cira. On July 12, 1971, she married Ted Hullinger who survives.
Nettie retired from the Lima Convalescent Home after 25 years of service. She truly loved her co-workers and was dedicated to seeing that her patients received the best care possible. Nettie was especially proud of her family, and she cherished her time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ted Hullinger of Lima; son, Jack L. (Rose) Hullinger, and Christina D. Ratts both of Lima; grandchildren, Adam Hullinger, Nathan Hullinger, Cheyenne L. (Cody Spencer) Parent, Javee W. Ratts, and Carolyn R. Hullinger all of Lima; great-grandchildren, Amberley R. Parent, Theodore J. Parent, Alan Hullinger, Brianna Hullinger, Kaleigh Hullinger, Adeline Hullinger, Almira Hullinger, Lillian Hullinger, and Millard Hullinger; brother, Guss (Donna) Cira of Lima; Sisters, Nancy (Dave) Shepard of Cridersville, Nellie Rhodes of Paulding, and Mary (Tom) Stevens of Lima; nieces, Laura Bucher of St. Johns, Jeannie Bucher of Lima, Betty (Les) Staley of Lima; nephew, Jimmy Bucher of Lima; 8 brothers and sisters-in-law; and her extended family at the Lima Convalescent Home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Andrew J. Hullinger; daughter, Angela M. Hullinger; brother, Frank (Ethel) Cira; and sisters, Carol Ann Cira, and Francis "Frannie" Cira.
A visitation to honor Nettie will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.
