PAULA TROYER
ELIDA — Paula Michelle Troyer (née Hess), 36, of Elida Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, at her residence.
She was born June 9, 1980, in Norwich, NY to Peleg C. and Janice C. (Wilcox) Hess. Both survive in Clarksville, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Scott Troyer on June 25, 2006, who survives in Elida.
She is survived by three children, Leegan Elaine, Arwen Cly, and Damaris Shay Troyer all at home with their dad; sister, Rachel (Josh Sheldon) Hess; nephew, Zebedee Sheldon, father and mother-in-law, Steve and Susan Troyer of Elida; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Wilcox; several brother and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
She attended Pike Mennonite Church, and was an instructor at Bible school. She was very artistic, enjoyed music and loved to travel. Paula was a home maker, but had also worked in childcare and for the family business until she started a family of her own. She attended elementary and middle school in Norwich NY until moving to Ohio. She was a 1998 graduate of Clinton-Massie high school near Clarksville Ohio and had earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Pike Mennonite Church in Elida Ohio (3995 McBride Rd, Lima, OH 45807). Burial will follow at Salem Mennonite Cemetery in Elida. Friends may call on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at Pike Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Light in Lima Ohio.
