Perry Truesdale

LIMA -- Perry L. Truesdale, age 69, passed away on November 4, 2025, at 3:06 pm, at the Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center. Perry was born July 8, 1956, in Lima, OH, to the late John and Hattie "Ruth" (Phillips) Truesdale.

Perry is survived by his life long companion, Carolyn A. Saunders of Lima, OH, his sons, Robert (Michelle) Saunders of Cincinnati, OH, and J. Randy (Amy) Saunders of Virginia Beach, VA, his grandchildren, Katherine Saunders of West Chester, OH, Brock (Alix Gutierrez) Saunders of Bronx, NY, and Kelsey (Justin McFarland) Saunders of Virginia Beach, VA, his brothers, John R. (Karen) Truesdale of Cridersville, OH, and Albert (Belinda) Truesdale of Lima, OH, a sister in-law, Rita Truesdale of Lima, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brothers, Bill Truesdale, and Bobby Truesdale, and a sister, Barbara (Gene) Lotz.

Perry was a 1974 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He spent his entire life in the family business, Truesdale's Lawn and Garden and he worked the business for 54 years retiring in 2013. Perry was also very involved with Carolyn's decorating business. He was a member of South Side Christian Church and former member of the Eagles Aerie #370. Perry loved traveling, music and enjoyed the outdoors. He'll be remembered for his great sense of humor and his skills as an excellent mechanic. Perry also enjoyed time spent at Rhodes State College giving insight to students and therapists in their Inspirational Rehab Program.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at the South Side Christian Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Todd Cosart.

Friends may call on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.
