REES DAVIES
VAN WERT — Rees O. Davies, 75, died at 3:40 a.m. May 30, 2017, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. He was born December 28, 1941 in Venedocia to Margaret (Jones) Davies and William Palmer Davies. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Kay Lynne Baker, of St. Marys; Kevin (Christina) Davies, Kristina (Dallas) Welker and Ken Davies, all of Van Wert. He has nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild due in June. He has one sister, Doris (Paul) Price, of Venedocia. He has many nieces and nephews. He is survived by the mother of his children, Diane Davies, of Van Wert.
Davies is a retired press setter from Chrysler Amplex in Van Wert and Perrysburg. He was a veteran of the United States Army, 101st Airborne. Davies is a 1959 graduate of York Township Local School and is a member of Van Wert American Legion. He is a member of Salem Presbyterian Church, Venedocia.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert with the Rev. Thomas Emery officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be given to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice or American Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements are by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
