Robert Morbidelli Obituary

Resident of Walnut Creek, CA
California native, Robert, died peacefully in his Walnut Creek home of 56 years on Aug. 18, 2013.
Robert was a 1942 graduate of Berkeley HS. Already a semi-pro baseball player, he was drafted by the US Army where he played baseball in the South West Pacific theatre. Bob married Corrine C. Milani on Sept. 4, 1955, his wife of 58 yrs. He is survived by his wife; his daughters, Linda Viggiano (Brad), Lisa Morbidelli (Michael Barbee), his son Robert J. Morbidelli (Julie), and loving former dtr-in-law Noel Nino, his grandchildren, Gina, Joseph, Gianni Viggiano, Alison and Jack Barbee, Catrina and Dominic Morbidelli, and Rachel and Olivia Reising.
Bob retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local Union#104 in 1984. He had a passion for gardening and took great pride in the numerous vegetables he grew. He was an avid follower of the Oakland A's and the S.F. Giants. Most of all, Bob (Nono), loved being with his family and sharing in their laughter and joy. His strength, devotion to family and giving spirit will forever be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at 10am, St. Mary's Catholic Church; 2039 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek,CA. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the East Bay, John Muir Hospital of Walnut Creek or a charity of your choice.
