PORT RICHEY, FL - Robert James Moyer, 62 of Port Richey FL., formerly of Lima, passed away at 1 p.m. on Friday June 23, 2023, at Bayonet Point Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Bob fought a hard three-month battle with Glioblastoma.
Bob was born on March 2, 1961, to the late William and Jean (Ely) Moyer of Owego, NY. On July 2, 1983, he married Kelly (Laman) Moyer who survives him in Port Richey.
Bob worked in the copier business, he started as a copier tech and worked his way up to a product specialist for the RICOH corporation. Then partnered with Jim Barnes and Scott Hall to open JBS Office Solutions in Defiance, OH. After selling the company, he moved to Florida and continued working for RICOH. Bob was a great guy who loved to have fun. He loved sports, coaching his children in softball, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He enjoyed golfing, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, NY Giants, and NY Mets. He loved to cook and spend time with family and friends. He always looked forward to the "Diller Family and Friends cruise" every other February.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his two daughters, Lorin (Tom Huckeriede) Moyer and Lexi Moyer of Largo, FL.; his son Tyler Moyer, of Port Richey, FL.; his three grandchildren, Raygen, Haril, and Dominic Moyer; two sisters, Bonnie (Rick) Ulrich of Largo, Linda Dawson, of Owego, NY. and his brother, Dale Moyer, of St. Petersburg, FL.; father-in-law, Ronald Laman of Cridersville; sister-in-laws, Ronda (Ron) Painter and Bonnie (Jeff) Davisson of Elida, OH., Teri (Lance) Kellermeyer of St Marys OH.; several nieces, nephews, and many amazing friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Ira Moyer; brother-in-law Ron Dawson; sister-in-law Pam Moyer; mother-in-law Donna Laman; and grandson Graycen Moyer.
Per Bob's wishes there will be no memorial service. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
