LIMA -- Robert Earl Rettig, 89, passed away on July 15, 2025, at The Springs of Lima.
Robert was born on July 5, 1936, in Lima, Ohio to Edward and Cathryn (Erford) Rettig. On June 23, 1956, he married Margaret (Cira) Rettig who survives in Lima.
Robert was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was also retired from Ford Motor Company.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; children, Edward (Lisa) Rettig, Marcia (Robert) Greve, and Robert (Patricia) Rettig; grandchildren, Jennifer Reitz, Robert Rettig, Rachel Lanciaux, Robyn Walsworth, and Ryan Rettig; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Lavada Rettig; and a brother, Richard (Betty) Rettig.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Father Kent Kaufman will Officiate. Entombment will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church or LCC.
