Sylvester Holland Obituary
LIMA — Sylvester H Holland III, 55, passed away on September 10, 2018, at 9:28 pm, surrounded by his loving family. Sly was born May 29, 1963 in Lima, OH, to Sylvester and Olivia (Totty) Holland who both preceded him in death. On March 29, 1983 he married Esther (Williams) Holland who survives in Columbus, Ohio.
Sly graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1981. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, California. He was in the 93rd Security Police and was honorably discharged after ten years of service. Sly was also an avid pool player and loved music.
Sly is survived by his daughter, Dominique Campbell of Dublin, OH, siblings, Teresa (Walter) (d) A. Cowan of Lima, OH, George A. Holland of Lima, OH, William (Gina) L. Holland of Lima, OH, Michael (Rochelle) L. Holland of Lima, OH, Deanna (Moses) M. Williams of Lima, OH, grandson, Jordan Campbell, and wife Esther Holland.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Mark O. Holland.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 1:00PM at Shawnee Alliance Church, 4455 Shawnee Road, Lima, Ohio 45806. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lynwood Holland. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
