Terry Lear

LIMA – Terry Michael Lear, 64, of Lima passed away January 10, 2024.

He was born March 15, 1959 in Lima to the late Walter and Louise (Ladd) Lear.

Terry is survived by his sons, Ryan (Marcus McIntosh) Lear and David Lear both of Columbus; a daughter, Jennah Lear of Cleveland; brothers, Jerry Lear of Delphos, Paul Lear of Lima and Jeff Lear of Arizona; sisters, Deborah Schurger of Delphos, Pam Carbaugh of Lima, Judy King of Delphos and Phyllis Wilkinson of New Bremen.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Janice Lear.

Terry served in the United States Army. He was a 1977 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School, and received an associate degree in Information Technology. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He worked as a laborer for many years. He was an avid football fan following the Green Bay Packers. Terry loved coaching many of his children's sports teams and his sisters' softball team "Susie's Coffee House". He also loved sprint car racing. Above all Terry loved his children and was a proud father.

A memorial service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 20 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos. Military honors conducted by Delphos Veterans Council will follow the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday before the service at the funeral home.
