WAPAKONETA — Wayne A. Howe, 70, of Wapakoneta, died 10:32 a.m., Thurs. Dec. 9, 1921, at Lima Memorial Health System, following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 13, 1951, in Lima, the son of the late Roger & Vivian (Wilson) Howe. On Oct. 18, 1974, he married Connie S. Brenneman, and she survives.
Other survivors include, 2 children, Andy (Kelly) Howe, Sparks, NV, Abbey Howe, Chesapeake, VA; 3 grandchildren, Taylor Carmean, Layla Hunter, William Johnson; 2 brothers, Jerry (Jennifer) Howe, Moore, SC, Dave (Sue) Howe, Wapakoneta, a sister-in-law, Bonnie (John) Rausch.
Wayne worked with his father, at Howe's Cabinetry & Millwork. He also worked at S & S Volvo, as a parts salesman, and delivered cars for St. Marys Chrysler.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, and a former member of the Wapakoneta Breakfast Optimist and a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Wayne was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School, and attended the Cincinnati Business College.
He enjoyed golfing, and refereed soccer. Wayne enjoyed studying W.W. II history, and working on his models in his man cave. He was also a faithful member of our local "Another Round Band".
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Mon. Dec. 20, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Josh Tissot officiating. The family will receive family and friends 1 p.m., until time of the service Mon at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize Co. Humane Society.
