LIMA -- William Earl "Bill" DeMoss, age 79 of Lima, passed Saturday, April 26,
2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born June 28, 1945, in Lima,
Ohio to the late William Anthony and Eileen Lenore Wesner DeMoss. He
married the love of his life, Roberta J. Sawmiller, on June 23, 1968.
Bill graduated from Lima Central Catholic in 1963. Right after graduation he joined the Air Force and served until 1967. Bill retired from Roundys where he was a warehouse man. He volunteered his time at the Allen County Museum where he was a docent and later became a security guard for the museum. Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. He loved to build furniture for many, and wanted to be a farmer where he had a barn to build all the furniture in. Bill was a wonderful man to many, his family loves him, and he will truly be missed.
He is survived by a son – Eddy (Dee Dee Spieles) DeMoss of Lima; a daughter – Tracy (Doug) Tibbitts of Venice, Fl; 4 grandchildren – Seth (Hannah) DeMoss, Landon (Kelsie) DeMoss, Meghan Naumburg, and Garrett DeMoss; 2 great grandchildren Dutton Riley DeMoss and Denver Ray DeMoss; and a brothers-in-law – Wilbur Sawmiller and Don Walter.
He was preceded in death by a sister – Barbara Walter.
A private family gathering will be held.

As a classmate of Bill I must say he was a very nice person. Always enjoyed talking to him! I never heard him say one bad thing about anyone. I know he will be missed. May God bless his soul!
