John Pietzman Obituary
He was born on June 5,1940 in Moscow Mills to Howard and Maggie (Lester) Pietzman.
After graduating from Buchanan High School, Skip started working as a self-employed construction worker. He was married to Jeanette Evenson on Nov. 29, 1958. To this union were born five children: Lori Jean, John David, James Randall, Scott Alan, and Janet Lynn "Nanner". After Jeanette passed away, he was married to Diana Wendall. To this union was born one son; Charles David.
Skip enjoyed rabbit hunting with his buddies at Whiteside, horseback riding, spending time with his friends at Landmark Restaurant and going to Dairy Queen for ice cream with Paul Dudley and Wes Denham. Skip was a member of Calvary Chapel in Troy.
He is survived by six children: Lori and husband Joe Toth of Moscow Mills, John David Jr. and wife Rhonda Pietzman. of Silex, James Randall and wife Faith Pietzman of Troy, Scott Alan and wife Laura Pietzman of Troy, Janet "Nanner" and husband Chris Whorton of Belton, Charles David and wife Alexis of Guam, 15 grandchildren: Jonathan and Cassie Isom, Meagan and Cole Cunningham, David and Meredith Pietzman, James and Ashleigh Pietzman, Rachel and Travis Stears, Joey and Kelly Pietzman, Danielle Pietzman, Erin and Zach Carver, Jake Pietzman, Kimberly and Eric Calvin, Curtis and Britni Pietzman, Christopher Whorton, Micah and Erica Whorton, Kaitlin and Justin Braun, Samuel Pietzman, 19 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Shirley Harke of Troy and Pauline and Cameron Cox of O'Fallon and many other relatives and friends.
Skip was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Pietzman, his parents and his brother Howard "Corky" Pietzman.
Visitation: Monday, March 14,2016 from 4-8 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy.
Funeral-Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy. Pastor Jeff Evenson to officiate.
Memorials- Prayers for Maddie O c/o Peoples Bank in Elsberry or Calvary Chapel Missions c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Crematory.
Interment- Troy City Cemetery Troy, MO Pallbearers: Jonathan Isom, David Pietzman, James Pietzman, Joey Pietzman, Curtis Pietzman, Christopher Whorton, Micah Whorton and Jake Pietzman.
