Gustav Muchow
LINCOLN, IL - Paul Edward Gustav Muchow, 88, passed away at 7:20 a.m., Oct. 27, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Altamont, Ill., on March 14, 1925, son of John and Alma Bandelow Muchow. He married Phyllis Oldham Crane on June 21, 1974, in Benton, Ill.; she survives him in Lincoln. They enjoyed traveling and seeing new places and also loved to spend time in Florida. Paul loved the ocean and soft ocean breezes.
Paul was blessed with one daughter, Debra (Gary) Juhl of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Sanders of San Antonio, Texas and Todd (Jennifer) Juhl of Scottsdale, Ariz.; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar (Twilla) Muchow and Victor (Janine) Muchow both of Springfield, Ill.; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Florence Duckuitz, and one infant brother.
Paul lived in Broadwell, Ill., for 30 years and enjoyed the small town. He was on the Village Board for 10 years and loved to garden. He was a veteran and also served a short time in Colorado. He also enjoyed morning coffee at McDonalds.
A memorial service for Paul will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday Nov. 1, 2013, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Oasis Senior Center, Zion Lutheran Church, or Logan County Food Pantry.
Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
