Sharon Virginia Stone 1938 - 2016
LINCOLN, IL - Sharon Virginia Stone, 78, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Sharon was born on January 18, 1938 in Lincoln, the daughter of Walter Alexander and Kathryn Jane (Kelso) Stone.
Sharon is survived by her brother, James (Linda) Stone Sr., her nieces, Karen Trimberger, Carol Sheley, Cynthia Stone, and Mary Stone; her nephew, James Stone Jr; several great nieces & nephews and several great-great nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one niece, Cristy Lynne Stone.
Sharon was a graduate of St. Josephs' Hospital School of Nursing in Bloomington; and worked as a registered nurse at St. Clara's Hospital as well as Lincoln Developmental Center. Sharon was a lifetime member of Lincoln Christian Church.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorial donations may be made in Sharon's name to Lincoln Christian Church. Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
