David Olberding Obituary

David Allen Olberding October 10, 1940 – May 9, 2025 David Allen Olberding passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 10, 1940, to the late Frank Olberding and Alma Olberding (née Schroeder), David lived a life marked by generosity, strength, and a boundless love for the outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Carolyn Olberding (née Suminski), who was his steadfast companion and closest friend. David had a larger-than-life personality and a heart "as big as Texas." He never met a stranger, he wouldn't help-always willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Whether tending to his garden or simply standing in a field, David embodied the spirit of a true farmer: humble, hardworking, and deeply rooted in the land he loved. He was, above all else, a giver-of his time, his talents, and his endless kindness. To know David was to know generosity in its purest form. A Memorial mass will be hold on June 23rd, at 12:00pm at Mother of God. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of David's giving spirit.
