John Dehner

1958 - 2024

John Dehner, 66, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at his residence. John was a dedicated distributor for McKee Bakery for 30 years, where he formed lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike. An avid fisherman, John found joy in the peacefulness of the water. He took great pride in his home, maintaining "the greenest grass you'll ever see." Fridays were special to him, as he enjoyed watching horse racing at Turfway Race Park and Belterra with his friends. Above all, John cherished family time. He was lovingly known as Pop Pop and Papa to his grandkids, who brought him immense joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Sr. and Ann (nee: Shepard) Dehner. John is survived by his children, Adam (Tara) Dehner and Kate (Adam) Dickman; his companion of over 20 years, Alta Witt; grandchildren: Penelope, Avery, Scarlett, Andi and Nathan; siblings, Tab (Karen) Dehner and Jenny (Dan) McKinney; nieces and nephews: Alex, Andy, Ali, Lauren and Lindsay; as well as many good friends. A gathering to celebrate John's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at the Covington Catholic Alumni Center (located at Covington Catholic High School), 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY 41011.
