It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of John Ryan Shimkowiak, age 46, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on Thursday, September 28, 1978, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to John and Kathryn. He is survived by his daughters, Mercedez, Savannah, and Aaliyah Shimkowiak; one sister, Heather M. Shimkowiak; stepfather, Leonard Helton; grandson, Jameson Stamper; granddaughter, Brynleigh Stamper; and a host of friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Kathryn; maternal grandparents, Harry and Gladys Bowman; and paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Shimkowiak. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.
