It is with deep sadness that I just learned of Stanley's passing. I was a classmate and very close friend of his at University of Michigan. I have many, many wonderful memories, including cheering for him at all of his football games. Two special memories were the night he crossed the sands and became an Alpha, and the older Brothers brought the pledgees into a room and placed them blindfolded in a circle. Stan whispered," Suzanne, I know you are here because I know your sweet perfume!" Another memory was when he would substitute teach at the school where I taught, and he fell asleep at the teacher's desk!! The students could not wait to come and tell me!! When he was in Medical School, I had major surgery at U of M hospital.
Stan was there before the surgery, got permission to go to the operating room with me, and was the first one I saw when I awoke from surgery. He was a good friend, and I often think of him and I am sad he has passed away, but I know he is one of God's angels.

In a nearly 40-year association with "Stan", I experienced him as intellectually brilliant; innovative, courageous, loyal, humble humanitarian. He always searched for a way to say "yes, I will help." Farewell Stan Farewell
