Walter Thomas Records III

Walter Thomas Records III, 67, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. Born on May 8, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Walter Records II and Agnes Records, Walter grew up with a kind and gentle spirit that carried through every stage of his life. He was a loving partner, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend-known for his honesty, loyalty, humor, and the way he always put others before himself. He didn't have a mean bone in his body and would do anything to help the people he loved. Walter graduated from Covington Catholic High School and went on to earn his degree from Northern Kentucky University. Professionally, he worked as a gemologist before later finding success in real estate, where his integrity and patience earned the respect of many. Walter is survived by his devoted daughter, Natasha (Casey) Records; his cherished grandchildren, Isabella and soon-to-arrive Jackson; and his loving partner, Bonnie Holman, along with their beloved cat, George. He is also survived by his sisters Mary (Mike) Doker and Kathleen Records; nephews Aaron (Michelle) Doker and Chris (Amber) Doker; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tim Records, and his niece Emily Doker. Walter's daughter holds many fond memories of their time together-especially their trips to the zoo and the countless ways he showed his love. Though he sometimes tried to play the role of the tough dad, his heart was simply too big for that. Walter and Bonnie shared a deep and enduring love, built on laughter, trust, and unwavering care for one another. Their bond was a true partnership-one that brought joy, comfort, and strength through every season of life. Walter was truly the love of Bonnie's life. A man of many passions, Walter loved music deeply-especially The Beatles and anything classic rock. He taught himself to play guitar before taking lessons, and music remained a lifelong joy. His Catholic faith and relationship with God were a steady source of strength and comfort throughout his life. Walter was a proud member of Gateway Lodge #109 F&AM and the Syrian Shrine Clowns, finding joy in bringing smiles and laughter to others. His fun-loving spirit and generous heart touched everyone he met. He adored animals, always caring for pets throughout the years. He enjoyed playing Yahtzee, laughing with friends and family, and simply enjoying life's little moments. Walter's presence brought light and laughter wherever he went. He will be remembered for his kind heart, love of music, strong faith, and the way he made everyone around him feel cared for. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Villaspring Care Center nursing staff for their kind and dedicated care. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Walter's memory-helping a neighbor, caring for an animal, or sharing a smile with someone in need, just as he so often did.
