William Thomas Obituary

On Monday, June 9th, 1975, a king was born to Sharon Thomas and Dwayne Finch. Mr. William D. Thomas, sr passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, following a prolonged battle with cancer. William "Big Dee" Thomas devoted his life to Christ at an early age. He graduated from Dohn High school in 2011. He worked as a forklift driver for over 20 years, retiring from Taylor Logistics. I will deeply miss your presence in my life. The memories we have shared will be forever cherished. Your love will always have a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten. You have been a precious gem, a treasure that I have been fortunate to have in my life. I admire your courage in facing your health challenges head-on. Your strength and resilience have been a constant source of inspiration to me. You have never been weak; instead, you have been my rock, my soulmate, and my partner through 33 incredible years. I treasure the way you made me feel, with your authenticity and truth. I feel a deep connection with you, as we share so many similarities. You have been my guiding light, even in the darkest of times. I am grateful for the memories we have created together, through all the ups and downs. Thank you for being my constant companion. I look forward to seeing you again and being reunited. I will miss our daily walks, our conversations, and our laughter. Nothing will ever be the same without you. However, I will remain strong, just as you advised me to. This will be the most challenging experience of my life. You were right; your words of wisdom have stayed with me. You lived your life with honor and integrity, until the very end. Our bond remained unbroken until death parted us. Thank you, my love. OUR KING GENTLE GIANT DIEHARD BENGALS FAN Goodbye for now. He was preceded in death by his prince, William "Lil Dee" Thomas, Jr. His father, Dwayne Finch. His grandparents Gwendolyn and William Finch. Two aunts Mary Jo and Ruth. Mother and father in law, Rosie and Michael Thompson. And his sister in law, Andrea Thompson. Mr. William "Big Dee" Thomas, Sr is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Michele Thompson-Thomas, His QUEEN. His mother, Sharon Thomas. His uncles Roy and Bobbie Thomas. His only aunt, Gail Kyle. His brother, Richard Thomas and three sisters, Sharese(Michael), Tywanna, and Semone. Five sister in laws, Sabrina, Ursula, La'Quetta, Tonya and Mildred. Two brothers in law, Robert(Carmen) and Michael. And his children Jer'Mersha(Shea), Jia'Mia, Jae'Yante, Jae'Vonte. His grandchildren, William Thomas, the third(The Duke), Tiana, Day'Monye, Me'Nyliah, Jae'Yante, jr. Chris,Tristan,My'Shaun, Jakari, Trenton. Special cousins, Victor, Tina, Frank, Harold, Hansen, Shannon, Montez,Maurice, Dewitt, Yolanda,BT, BJ and Shonda. And a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and family. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 19, at Windham Hall, 817 Windham Ave., Cincinnati 45224.
