The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society mourns the loss of a highly esteemed, dedicated hematologist who was and will continue to be an inspiration to the hematology community. Dr. Lusher was the well-deserving recipient of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award and served for innumerable years as a scientific reviewer for the HTRS Mentored Research Award Program, providing valuable insight into the many grant applications she reviewed. Her influence will continue far into the future. The HTRS Board would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Lusher. She will be missed by her many HTRS colleagues and friends.
