Dean and I fished together a couple days per week for the better part of 20 years. That is literally hundreds of days floating the Yellowstone and other rivers. Dean was the best flyfisher I´ve known. I think that he had the uncanny ability to remember every fish he ever caught. He´d dream of fishing when he slept! I´m proud to have considered Dean one of my closest friends. Beneath a gruff exterior, Dean was one of the most loyal and sincere people on the planet. I feel fortunate to have known Dean and enjoyed immensely the times we spent fishing.
