To Kuhnert family: I was lucky to know Phil. Phil was a true friend and co-worker. Phil was my partner during my Paramedic training and co-worker until he retired. I recently was able to talk to Phil by phone a few times during his battle. I'm sure I wore him out, we talked about events in our past. I know he is in a peaceful place now and will not suffer any more pain.

I am so sorry Brenda and Jamie. I really want to be there tomorrow, but I am high risk and can't do it. He was like another dad to me in my childhood. I loved him.
