Daniel Sanchez Obituary

DANIEL SANCHEZ JR
04/20/1961 - 01/19/2025
In honor of my father's passing, I welcome family and friends to join my children and I as we celebrate my father's life with a memorial mass. Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church on February 7, 2025, at 7:30 pm.
Daniel Sanchez Jr. was a retired Oil and Gas man who dedicated his life to working for CenterPoint Energy (ENTEX) and Anadarko Petroleum with great pride and joy. Daniel had many career accomplishments throughout his lifetime that he was able to obtain because of his outstanding work ethic.
He was a loving father to his only child Kandra Danielle Sanchez and a wonderful grandfather to his three grandchildren whom he loved more than anything in the world, Skylan Daniel, Kaleb Daniel, and baby Kandra Danielle.
He is survived by his siblings: Raymundo Sanchez and fam., Martina Kaping and fam., Richard Sanchez and fam., and Zenayda Rocha and fam. Along with uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was received at the gates of Heaven by God along with his parents, Daniel Sanchez, Ana Maria Sanchez Cantu and his baby brothers, John and Vincint Sanchez.
I would also like to personally thank the closest people in my life that helped me surround my father with unconditional love and comfort during his final days. Araceli Sanchez, Javier Sencion, Martina Kaping- John Martinez, Jacqueline Grimm, Isabelle Anderson, Zenayda Rocha, Uncle David Sanchez, Aunt Maria Elena Sanabria and Cousin Elena Hartman.

A letter to my Papi

Papi, it is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I stand here announcing your passing, but it gives me great peace knowing you are no longer suffering in this life and are seated in heaven besides, God.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have cherished every moment I was gifted with you. I relive our memories every day and proudly share them with my children so that they too can delight in your spirit. Some of my sweetest memories are of just the two of us singing our hearts out in your truck, dancing together on my wedding day, and the countless laughs we shared every morning as you drove me to school. I think about you every day and find small reminders to relate to you in everything that I do because I am proudly a reflection of you. Your life was a blessing to us all, and now your memory is an everlasting treasure. Despite you being gone these precious moments will live in my heart forever. Our father-daughter relationship was exceptional, one of a kind, and I thank you for it.
One thing I mentioned several times to you during your final days was that we had such a beautiful life together, and we truly did, Papi. I'm so blessed that God gave me such a wonderful daddy who made me his world, but an even greater grandpa who adored his grandbabies. I promise to use every tool you've given me, every lesson you taught me, to be able to walk through life with my head held high. I promise to make you proud as you smile down on us from heaven. I am who I've become because of you and my mother and I'm eternally grateful for the upbringing you both gave me.
I wish I could tell you how wonderful all of our family has been to me during this time. You left with me an army that has protected and showered me with love and grace and I'm so grateful for all of our Sanchez/ Cantu family. With that being said I pray that you peacefully rest knowing the babies and I are going to be taken care of. This is not our goodbye, nor our ending. I pray that one day we'll get to be together again, Papi, and with God's grace we will. Our story doesn't end here because your spirit lives within me. I always have and will continue to love you with my entire heart, Papi.
Love always, Kandra

Danny was a dear friend , since we were kids in Los Amores neighborhood. Such a good man that I love as dear friend. Helped me when I was constructing my house where I live now . Advised me to put a gas lamp on my front yard,it´s still on. Told me I would always enjoy it,as it would probably be only one in neighborhood, and it is,LOL Will miss him, but light is always on for him.

We love you honey! We miss you dearly. Our pain is beyond and God only knows how much we are hurting without hearing your voice, your jokes, and your unmistakable laugh. You created a very special legacy with your 12 grandchildren. Here is the picture you requested before your passing that you wanted the world to see.

May you rest in peace my love.
Your wife,
Janie Sanchez

To my honey: May you rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord my love. I love and miss you dearly everyday since you were uplifted to Heaven. I cherish all the memories we shared in our lives together. We loved, laughed, worried & cried together. We had great happiness as we also shared moments of sadness for family situations, but we overcame it all.
I am sharing the picture that I took in your final days. A picture that you wanted me share with the word. A picture with our grandkids that you loved, cherished and saw be born. Even though you were not their blood grandpa, they loved you, and respected you just like you loved them. They miss their grandpa "Danny" dearly.

May you rest in peace my honey, my love, my soulmate ! Until we meet again baby!!

I love you with ALLL my heart,
Your wife, Janie Sanchez
