Dear Members of The George Farias Family,
Please accept our most sincere and profound condolences. We know that the faith, hope, and love you shared as a family will give you strength and courage to bear the sadness and grief in your hearts. May you find comfort in knowing that your beloved George is resting in heaven, and that he will be remembered in our daily prayers. May his soul rest in eternal peace. The cherished memories you hold of George will keep him alive in your hearts and souls forever.
My wife, Jo Emma, and I first met George-an extraordinary person-over forty years ago when we joined the Los Bexareños Genealogical Society. From that moment, we became close friends and business partners. He took a keen interest in the genealogical books Jo Emma had published and enthusiastically offered to sell them through his Borderlands Bookstore.
George was a passionate master of genealogy and history, always generous with his knowledge and advice. We treasure the many fond memories of our collaboration and friendship over four decades. His charm, courtesy, and wit were unforgettable, and his affable personality and indomitable spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. We were truly privileged to have crossed paths with such an extraordinary person.
George also had a love for vintage cars. On one of his visits to our home, he asked to be photographed behind the wheel of our 1939 LaSalle Cadillac-a moment that captured his joyful spirit and appreciation for the past. We have included that photo as a tribute to his vibrant personality.
Please remember that George will always be with you-in memory and in prayer. The love you shared is a spiritual bond that even death cannot sever. Allow yourselves to heal in your own time and in your own way. George would have wanted it that way.
With our deepest sympathies,
Jo Emma and Gilberto Quezada
