Maria Rodriguez Obituary
Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Saenz Rodriguez the 7th child of Rafael and Maria del Refugio Dilley Saenz entered the loving embrace of our Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the age of 91.
In her youth she attended Ursuline Academy. She also had beautiful memories spending time at the Saenz Ranches and at Los Claveles Dairy where the family enjoyed singing and dancing.
Later, family gatherings continued at La India Ranch with her extended family.
At the age of 19, she met the love of her life Romeo and recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.
As a housewife, she took great pride in raising her five boys, loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren where faith and family were truly emphasized thru daily prayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael Saenz and Maria del Refugio Dilley; siblings, Hortencia Cardenas, Pedro Saenz, Hermelinda (Mine) Perez, Rafael Saenz, Nestora Martinez, Armando Saenz, and Irma Morales.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 70 years of marriage Romeo Rodriguez Sr.; children, Romeo (Sylvia) Rodriguez Jr., Ricardo (Patricia) Rodriguez, Rene (Dr. Sonia) Rodriguez, Roberto (Veronica) Rodriguez, and Rafael Antonio "Ralph" Rodriguez.
Her grandchildren, Adriana (JP) Garrigues, Jose David (JD) Rodriguez, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Stephanie Rodriguez, Audrey Rodriguez, Rick Rodriguez, Cory (Mason) Raven, Jackie Rodriguez, and Diego Rodriguez.
Her great-grandchildren, Etienne "Eti" Garrigues, and Aiden Rodriguez; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Services were held privately by the family.
