ANN SPRAGUE Obituary

Kathryn Ann Worley was born on May 31, 1931, as the only daughter of John & Venna Worley in Hollywood, CA. She grew up in Glendale, CA and spent summers with her grandparents and cousins at the family cabin in Tamarack, CA. Ann attended the University of Redland where she met her husband, H. Duncan Sprague. After graduation, they married and moved to Pacific Grove, CA where she started her career in education and had two children. The family moved to Lodi in 1965 where Ann became a psychologist with the Lodi Unified School District. Ann continues her education obtaining a master's degree from the University of the Pacific. She was hired by San Joaquin County Schools to work with special education teachers and students. Ann was promoted to SELPA Director and finished her career with SJ County as an Assistant Superintendent of Schools. Ann retired in 1994, to enjoy traveling with her husband, spending time at Tamarack, and going out to lunch at the local restaurants. She died on October 15, 2025, at the age of 94. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Duncan, after 62 years of marriage, and son, John (July 2024).
